Led by a Perinatal RN with real-world experience at Victoria General Hospital, this evidence-based, Lamaze-aligned series blends respectful, inclusive care with practical, hands-on learning.
You’ll gain the knowledge, skills, and reassurance you need for labour, birth, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and feeding—whether you’re planning a physiological birth or one with medical support. Throughout the program, you’ll learn how to stay calm, informed, and empowered, with guidance tailored to local maternity practices and an emphasis on reducing stress, worry, and fear.

At Born to Birth Prenatal, we go beyond traditional prenatal classes—creating a supportive, evidence-based space where families feel informed, respected, and confident in their decisions.

With Diane’s trauma-informed approach, you’ll learn through real-life labour scenarios, practical coping techniques, and decision-making tools to help you feel calm, prepared, and empowered for both hospital and home birth.

Classes are offered in-person at Lagoon Prenatal in Colwood and Maven Pelvic Health in View Royal, or online at your own pace, with optional live Zoom support through Ask Your Nurse.

We also provide 1:1 breastfeeding and postpartum support in hospital and at home—because support shouldn’t end after birth.

Hi, I’m Diane — Registered Nurse, Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, and founder of Born to Birth Prenatal.

With years of experience in labour and delivery, postpartum and newborn care, and breastfeeding support, I’m passionate about helping families feel informed, supported, and confident through their perinatal journey.
​
My approach combines evidence-based education, real-life guidance, and compassionate, trauma-informed care that places you and your support person at the centre of the experience.
I believe every family brings their own unique story and needs into birth, and my goal is to help you feel calm, prepared, empowered, and confident making the decisions that are right for you and your baby.
